    You just need to set the EDID in the Analyzer – I recommend copying an EDID from a known HDR display (one that is current with HDR or Deep color turned on) 

    You can do this by navigating to the EDID copy section while plugged into a display, press OK to copy the EDID and then navigate back one screen to choose the USER EDID you just set. 

    Now the player should behave. 

    The Samsung and Sony players are almost 100% reliant on EDID to output “the good stuff”. 

    Also – make sure you have the latest firmware here (I don’t think this is a problem, but good to have anyways.
